Item Description

This piece comes to us from a friend who obtained the piece directly in Talpiot, which is a neighborhood in southeastern Jerusalem so we know it's genuine. It is a lustrous, polished nodule Flint with golden nodules that can be seen in the surrounding chalk matrix. Flint is defined as a variety of chert which is a sedimentary siliceous cryptocrystalline rock. An interesting esoteric specimen for any fan of Quartz-like minerals or specimens from Israel or just interesting decorative pieces from around the world. The piece also shows nice fluorescence under UV light as well.
