Item Description

A gorgeous and rarely seen piece of Flint from Mt Carmel in Israel. A dark brown nodule of Flint can be seen in the center of the surrounding chalk matrix. Flint is defined as a variety of chert which is a sedimentary siliceous cryptocrystalline rock. This piece came to us directly from an individual who obtained the piece in Israel, so we know it's genuine. A cool piece for anybody who collects Quartz-like minerals, specimens from Israel or decorative rock pieces from around the world. I'm sure this piece would polish up nicely if one so chose as well.
