Item Description

Mineral specimens are rare from this old Zn-Pb-Cu-Ag-Au district. But the mines have produced some outstanding calcite specimens and here is a very fine example. Gem-like, very glassy fishtail-twinned calcite crystals TOTALLY cover the plate and the sculptural bisecting rib. The calcites reach 1.4 cm on this fascinating and rare specimen. A MUST for the locality or species collector. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
