Item Description

A dramatic, large specimen of stacked, twinned, fishtail gypsum crystals. This impressive piece is a doubly terminated floater with the fish head or arrowhead termination at the other end. The lustrous crystals are transparent to translucent, with some crystals having a frosted look. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The fish head has modest edge bruising and a contact with no damage, per se. The fishtail has only very trivial bruising, which is amazing for such a soft mineral. An excellent, older cave gypsum from this less well-known Mexican locale. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
