Fishtail-twin Calcite w/ Marcasite (Soregaroli Coll.)

Item Description

Mineral specimens are uncommon, in general, from the Pea Ridge Mine. It was the last operating underground iron mine in the United States, closing in 2001. This is a wonderful and rare, super-cute fishtail-twin calcite crystal. The sparkly marcasite crystals are a fine accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only the tip of one termination being gently bruised. Very nifty and rare calcite in this style from the Art Soregaroli Collection.
