Item Description

Fishtail-twinned calcite crytals are a Tri-State classic and this is a very fine and rare large matrix example from the Eagle Picher Mine. A gemmy, sharp, 3.0 cm, pretty amber twin is elegantly set on chert matrix on a field of gemmy, amber scalenohedrons. The twin is pristine and fishtails on matrix are not that common from the Tri-State District. Ex George Feist Collection # 1677. Valued at $500.
