Item Description
These are some of the most impressive, flashy and colorful gypsum specimens in the world. This aesthetic specimen consists of a single razor-sharp, light amber, gem, "fishtail"-twinned crystal, 2.8 x 2.6 x 1.4 cm, sitting atop a "ball" of gypsum which is comprised of a multitude single bladed crystals. This "floater" crystal formed in a calcium clay/sediment and has no point of attachment whatsoever. The light color is very attractive for the species as well. Bright ghostly white fluorescence! Another important aspect of this specimen is that it is NOT repaired, which makes a difference with this material. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of bruising to the fishtail tips. A Canadian classic.
