Item Description
These are some of the most impressive, flashy and colorful gypsum specimens in the world. This aesthetic specimen consists of a single, razor-sharp, golden-amber, gem, "fishtail"-twinned crystal, 2.9 x 2.9 x 1.0 cm, sitting atop a "ball" of gypsum which is comprised of a multitude single bladed crystals. This "floater" crystal formed in a calcium clay/sediment and has no point of attachment whatsoever. The color is very attractive for the species as well. The material is typically very fluorescent as well! Another important aspect of this specimen is that it is NOT repaired, which makes a difference with this material. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial brusing to the tip of one "tail". A Canadian classic.
