Item Description
I think a lot of people would agree that the best quality Fire Opals come from various localities in Queretaro, Mexico. These impressive, well-known, colorful gems are some of the most iconic examples of Opal, which is really saying something considering how diverse the species can be. The Mexican Fire Opal gems are among some of the biggest, brightest and most intense color Fire Opals from any world locality. Several years ago, there was a surge in the price of Fire Opal as fine quality material seems to be more and more difficult to obtain, especially in a vivid stone like this one. This gem has a beautiful, saturated reddish-orange color with an "Oval Cabochon" cut. The stone features that gorgeous lovely "jelly" appearance that you expect to find in the best stones. Great color and quality, and not nearly as common on the market now as they were 20+ years ago.
