A dramatic and outstanding, CABINET, combination specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. The centerpiece of this striking piece is the gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, 8.0 cm, bi-colored, apophyllite crystal. The lower portion is pleasing mint-green, while the limpid, sharp, pyramidal termination is colorless. The apophyllite is surrounded by pearlescent, light salmon-pink, stilbite blades on the popcorn quartz-encrusted, undulating basalt matrix. Two, glassy, lustrous, translucent, colorless calcite rhombs are the final and important compliment: a 4.0 cm rhomb at the base; and doubly terminated, 3.5 cm, rhomb just to the right of the apophyllite. This impressive combo piece is nearly pristine, with only trivial bruising to the calcite crystals. Jalgaon justs keeps on producing amazing zeolite specimens and the is a beautiful, large example.
