fine Cavansite on Stilbite

Item Description

Radiating clusters of lustrous, teal-blue, cavansite blades form a striking "headdress" or pinwheel atop matrix on this very aesthetic specimen from the Wagholi Quarry. The display view of the cavansite is totally pristine. The contacted back shows the interior of the spherical aggregates - actually kind of interesting, to see those radiating spokes and green cores. The glassy, colorless, highly lustrous blades covering the basalt matrix are stilbites. This is really good for a miniature combination specimen and looks fabulous.
