Item Description
This impressive colorful and sculptural small cabinet hosts at least 6 veins, seams and patches of stunning shimmering chatoyant electric purple color fibrous sugilite in the layered matrix. Fibrous texture sugilite is RARE, as most specimens are massive. Crystallized sugilite is also rare. Sugilite is a rare very complex lithium silicate and is a member of the Osumilite Group. The massive variety makes very colorful lapidiary material. It is very hard to obtain specimens of this quality today. An exceptional small cabinet from the 2016-17 finds at the N'Chawaning III Mine.
