Item Description
A beautiful shimmering chatoyant electric purple vein of Sugilite with rare fibrous texture is dramatically set in the sculptural miniature matrix on this striking 360-degree specimen. Sugilite is a rare very complex lithium silicate and is a member of the Osumilite Group. Most specimens are massive and make very colorful lapidiary material. It is very hard to obtain specimens of this quality today. An exceptional miniature from the 2016-17 finds at the N'Chawaning III Mine. Valued at $300-500.
