Fiber Optic Glass a synthetic material that is very similar to the mineral Ulexite in its chemistry and appearance. Essentially the material is composed of spun glass fibers which are fused together. You'll see a good number of these gems that produce a cat's eye effect / chatoyancy when rotated in the light, and you can clearly see it in this gem. Typically, you'll only see solid colors when it comes to this material but this piece is a rare tri-colored stone with rich blue, orange and green bands. A small bale is attached to the top of the stone, so it's actually a pendant and easily wearable on a thin chain. An interesting novelty item that would make a great gift for a child or anybody who likes unusual gem material.
