Ferro-hornblende

Item Description

Sharp, partially-terminated, parallel-growth hornblende crystals from a well-known Ontario locale. The lustrous, green-black crystals have preferential striations and a minor amount of etching. The largest crystal is 6.5 cm across, which is an impressive size. The cluster is comprised entirely of intergrown crystals of Ferro-horneblende. A very fine example of the species and locale.
