Item Description
Ferrierite-Mg is an uncommon zeolite species and some of the most colorful examples come from these andesite quarries in Sardinia. Vivid orange balls of acicular crystals really stand out on both sides of the matrix. The sculptural vug with the single 1.3 cm ball also hosts lustrous heulandite crystals. The broken ball on the back reveals the radial growth and bright chatoyancy of the needles. Classic and excellent material from this locale.
