Item Description
Wow! A well-crystallized and RARE mineral specimen from mineral difficient Texas. This sharp little Fergusonite-(Y) thumbnail is from a well-known Hill Country pegmatite, that is usually underwater in Lake Buchanan (since 1938). So the crystal is rare and old. Fergusonite is a REE oxide with Yttrium and Niobium. The sharp tetragonal crystal has an oxide rind and the little side car is a cute accent. Specimens of this sharpness and quality are VERY RARE and are RARELY on the market! Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
