Very nice single crystal of Fergusonite-(Y) from the Ampangabe pegmatite, Faratsiho District, in Madagascar. This habit, unusual though it may be, can often be found in Madagascan Fergusonites. The tapered shape reminds one of an obelisk, and the rectangular inset at the termination is certainly fascinating and bizarre. An excellent miniature, and highly representative.
