Item Description

A classic, old-time specimen of sharp, blocky, well-formed, black Ferberite / Wolframite crystals from the locality at Zinnwald / Cinovec which literally sits on the border of Germany and the Czech Republic. This famous tin locality has produced some of the most iconic "old world" "Woframites" extant. This piece is in decent overall, as there are some cleaves, but the front edge is really sharp and well-formed. Valued at $1500 for size and quality, even taking the damage into consideration. An attractive small cabinet of this well known material.
