Ferberite with Fluorite

Item Description

A beautiful association specimen from the prolific Yaogangxian Mine in China featuring a predominant multi-crystallized, doubly-terminated group of sharp, lustrous, jet-black Ferberite which associated with gentle purple colored, translucent cubic crystals of Fluorite along with soft cream colored Dolomite and minor Quartz on the back. One end of the Ferberite group was probably detached from the pocket wall at some point and re-crystallized ("re-healed"), but it's still doubly-terminated. No major damage that I can find, and very attractive from both sides. Best seen in person, but we did our best to illustrate its quality in the video. From the collection of Gerald and Linna Pauley.
