Ferberite with Arsenopyrite & Siderite (huge, old classic find)

An important museum level example of this important ore species! Sculptural and impressive angled cluster of large, stepped, tabular, parallel-growth ferberite crystals artistically set on the combination matrix on this very fine large piece from the famed Panasqueira Mines. The ferberites, to 8.1 cm tall, are all terminated and pristine in the striking primary display view. The sharp, highly lustrous, jet-black prisms are nicely striated. The complementary, sculptural combination matrix is composed of lustrous, metallic-gray Arsenopyrite crystals, well-placed smaller Ferberites and bands and patches of brown Siderite crystals with pearlescent Muscovite plates.
