Ferberite (very rare for locale)

Item Description

Ferberites from Erongo do not often reach significant size, so a 4 cm crystal such as this is worth noting. The crystal seems fairly complete, with one side somewhat more rounded and the flatter face exhibiting an almost a herringbone pattern to the many faces and steps. One narrow edge is a cleavage. The luster is good to very good, and I think the many faces on the flatter side make this rather exceptional for the locality.
