Ferberites from the Erongo Region are quite rare, and any one that is euhedral and in the cm size range are quite exceptional. Crystals even 1 cm in size are highly prized. This fabulous, bladed Ferberite is an amazing 4 cm in length. The metallic luster is very good, striated for the most part and mirror-like in a few areas. There are even many densely-packed Ferberite rosettes on one side. On both sides, attractively distributed, there are numerous 1 mm oxidized Pyrite cubes, and they add color and nice contrast to the piece. Much better in person, this is really quite a find for Erongo.
