Item Description

A sculptural and rare combination specimen from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. Dolomite is rare from here. Classic, artistic clusters of parallel-growth, tabular, terminated jet-black ferberite blades with striated faces are aesthetically intergrown and complimented with glassy transparent to translucent quartz points. A few dolomite rhombs are visible in the primary display views, but the rear of the 4.0 cm wide ferberite "wall" hosts a fine hidden cluster of creamy, pearlescent, curved dolomite rhombs and more quartz. A fine and uncommon combination from the Rob Sielecki Collection.
