Item Description

Ferberite pseudomorphs after sharp tetragonal, pyramidal-looking scheelite crystals are RARE from this obscure and unusual, Al-rich phosphate pegmatite in Rwanda. Complete all-around and pristine. The side car is a nifty accent and the unaltered white portion of the crystal fluoresces yellow-white. Choice material, probably mined in the 1950s or 60s. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired from respected rarities dealer Excaliber-Cureton Mineral Company in 1994. valued $200
