Item Description

This was one of the very few matrix pieces from the 2006 find of these amazing specimens. This species was sometimes previously referred to as "Wolframite", which was supposed to be an intermediary species between Ferberite and Hubnerite, but has since been discredited. This is an eloquent piece featuring a handful of fine quality, sharp, lustrous, jet black blades of Ferberite measuring up to 2.1 cm on "needle" Quartz crystals on matrix. Considering that the large majority of matrix Ferbs from Tasna have serious damage problems, this one is in really good shape, and the main crystal is virtually damage free, though a few others are contacted. Great balance, aesthetics and displayability.
