Item Description

Here is a superb full sized thumbnail specimen of Ferberite. This species was sometimes previously referred to as "Wolframite", which was supposed to be an intermediary species between Ferberite and Hubnerite, but has since been discredited. This piece features a sharp, lustrous, jet-black single crystal that is displayable from several angles, with a few smalller crystals on the back. The most impressive aspect of the piece is the the larger crystals is complete ALL THE WAY AROUND, and the only real point of contact is on the back where the smaller crystals came off the matrx. You just don't see Ferberites like this from Tasna that are crystallized on every side, so don't miss out.
