Item Description
The beautiful cluster of gorgeous, gemmy, color-zoned, blue-green, fluorite cubes, to 1.6 cm, hides a major surprise on this striking large combination specimen from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. Hidden behind the fluorite and quartz curtain is a striking, 6.0 cm tall, splendent, striated, jet-black, parallel-growth, bladed, ferberite crystal cluster. The nearby brassy fragment of an arsenopyrite crystal is a super accent. These crystals rest on an impressive plate of glassy, translucent, quartz crystals with preferentially frosted prism and termination faces. The large quartz crystal is 7.2 cm. The fluorites and ferberite are pristine. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial termination wear to the most prominent quartz crystal and very modest periphery wear. Such fine Yaogangxian combinations are always highly desirable. The fluorite glow with purple fluorescence. Valued at $1500-2000. (we paid $1000 for it years ago)
