Ferberite

Item Description

This is an impressive Ferberite in its own right - large (5 cm), fairly well formed, and appealing. Given the fact that it is from Erongo, and it becomes doubly impressive. The metallic luster is quite good, the faces are reasonably well-formed, and the terminations are complex and finely stepped. One portion of the termination is very well defined, with sharp faces. Along much of the surface are thousands of sparkly micros of an unknown species, adding more mineralogical interest to the piece.
