Excellent pair of absolutely classic lustrous Swiss feldspar crystals, of the gemmy variety called Adular or Adularia. These crystals, the largest being 3.3 cm across, are razor shapr and gorgeously perched up on matrix. This larger crystal is very gemmy to translucent, with attractive modifications and micro-inclusions along the girdle (twinned?), edges, and on the termination. There is a little bit of contacting, but it has no real effect on the aesthetics. These pieces are part of a century-old Italian collection that was recently acquired. IThis is a stunnign specimen of quality with the best luster, and such good aesthetics for old material. Perhaps the finest specimen in the lot here, by mdoern tastes for simple aesthetics
