Feldspar (RARE Scottish locality!) (ex Tim Sherburn Collection)

This is the ONLY specimen of Feldspar that we've ever had to offer from the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. The piece features sharp, well-formed, pinkish-beige colored block crystals of Feldspar (probably Orthoclase) measuring up to 1.1 cm, associated with minor Muscovite. No major damage that I can see, a fine quality and showy overall specimen. If you collect worldwide Feldspars, how many of you can say you have a piece from Cairngorms in your collection? This piece comes to us from the collection of Tim Sherburn, a well-known collector from San Diego who among other things assembled a fine suite of minerals from the UK and Ireland over his nearly 50 years of collecting minerals.
