Item Description

Here we have a somewhat rounded, blocky, partially translucent crystal of K-Feldspar with the classic and HIGHLY desirable "adularescence" or "Moonstone" effect which shows a soft blue iridescent shimmer when rotated in the light. When backlit, the crystal shows a rich amber hue. I can't find another piece of this material from Sakhan-gyi anywhere online, so it's obviously rare. If you're a fan of worldwide Feldspars, do not miss out on picking up a rarely seen piece from this lesser known locality. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
