Feldspar (Cat's Eye)

Item Description

A really cool "Cat's Eye" gem of Feldspar (no specific species was given when we acquired the stone) from Tanzania. Cat's Eye stones are created by orienting the gem rough perpendicular to the tiny fibrous inclusions inside which in turn reflect the light causing an "eye" to appear. This particular stone has a reddish-brown with slight translucency, and displays a sharp "eye" when strongly lit.
