Item Description

A classic specimen from the famous Foote Mine in western North Carolina. The piece features off-white colored radial crystal groups of the well known phosphate Fairfieldite measuring up to 1.0 cm across on matrix. It is certainly worthwhile for any collector of this material. The piece comes from the collection of noted mineral collectors William and Anne Cook.
