Unusual and excellent faden quartz from this classic Swiss locale. The densely intergrown sculptural cluster of glassy, transparent to translucent doubly terminated crystals is highlighted by a single crystal with a distinctive faden or "string". Amazingly some of the crystals are slightly CURVED, adding a striking visual aspect to this pristine 360-degree floater crystal cluster. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10063 and acquired in Aprial, 1983. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
