Brookite is RARE from Toyee, well-known for superb faden quartz specimens. This sculptural, 360-degree cluster of water-clear to translucent, doubly terminated quartz crystals hosts a 1.0 cm, brown brookite blade near the tip of the largest quartz crystal. The faden or "string" is distinctly visible down the center of the piece. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial bit of bruising to a couple of quartz tips. Both ends were contacted against the vug walls. A facinating and perhaps unique combination from this locale from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued at $400 by Herb, more than 5 years ago.
