Item Description
An incredibly exotic, rare, colorful and sculptural large bi-colored tourmaline from Momeik, famous for the pink mushroom-shaped tourmalines, that came out about 10 years ago. The core of this striking, lustrous, well-striated, parallel-growth crystal is a rich, translucent bubble gum-pink. The prism faces are translucent, pastel-pink. The lustrous, scalloped/etched, trigonal termination faces are a striking and starkly contrasting rich violet-blue. This style of tourmaline is RARE from Momeik. Complete all-around. The terminations are pristine on this dramatic and colorful 360-degree tourmaline. The periphery wear is certainly acceptable in the context of this striking large rarity. Value?? We feel in the $2000-2500 is fair for the size, color and rarity. From old Obodda dealer stock.
