Brilliant metallic, super sharp magnetite octahedrons, to 1.7 cm, are aesthetically festooned on this outstanding plate from the early 2000s finds at this well-known Bolivian locale. These are some of the finest magnetite octahedrons from anywhere. This is a superb and pristine specmen, that display beautifully from either direction. Ex Herb Obodda Collection # 3043. This piece is MUCH MUCH better than most from here, with sharper form and more brilliant luster. We do not see so many for sale anymore on the market, although 10 years ago or so they were common. Valued $950. If it were Swiss origin, from the Alps, it would look similar and be valued at $5000 and more!
