A superb, sculptural matrix small cabinet barite from the circa 2005-06 finds at this well-known locale. A fantastic 360-degree pristine cluster of parallel-growth and diverging barite crystals is dramatically perched atop the very sculptural sandstone matrix. Dominated by the impressive crystal, at 3.4 cm across, the tabular, highly lustrous, transparent to translucent crystals have stunning color-zoning with yellow rims around brown interiors. Common when they came out, matrix specimens of this exceptional quality were always rare. Ex Herb Obodda Collection # 2837.
