Item Description

A fine, textbook representative crystal of this rare Earth species from the Euxenite group. Notable for the sharp crystal habit, these are classics. Mostly, they came out from the exploration work of the early to mid 1900s, and this was said to have been through several other collections already. From the Alex Schauss thumbnail collection. (Note - it got mixed up with a label for a rare ugly euxenite by a previous dealer, and was thus accidentally published with a great photo, wrongly labelled as an Australian euxenite, in the recent book: Mineralogical Record - Refined Elegance: The Small Treasures of Mineralogy (Jan, 2023)
