Item Description

Euxenite-(Y) is an uncommon rare earth oxide is found in granite pegmatites. This is a sharp, well-formed, tan (an alteration rind), floater, parallel-growth crystal with a chisel termination. It looks very much like a well-formed Feldspar crystal. This is a fine old-time piece. Superb and rare, well-terminated specimens of this quality likely date from the 1930s to 1970s. (NOTE: in removing from the base, we snapped off the bottom 4 mm of the crysatl, with apologies...)
