Euclase is not seen in good gem material from many localities around the world, and the crystals from Equador, Brazil are among the most colorful and fine quality in the world for the species. The amazing blue color is about as good as it gets for Euclase. The crystal in this set is a partial monoclinic crystal (it's cleaved on one side) with the classic blue and colorless zoning along with very sharp, distinct, smooth lustrous faces. The stone is an amazing gem with a rich Sapphire blue hue with VVS clarity and a "Custom Shield" cut. Both halves of the set compliment each other beautifully. This is some of the most desirable Euclase out there, and a worthwhile pickup for anybody who wants classic blue Euclase from this well known locality in Brazil.
