Item Description

A classic specimen from the early 1970s of the famous yet elusive "blue stripe" Euclase crystals from near Equador, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. I was told once that the intense neon blue zone in these crystals is caused by germanium oxide. These are some of the most distincitve and eye-catching Euclase crystals outside of Colombia. This alluring little thumbnail is essentially white / colorless on the outer boundaries, but the center has one of the most intense internal blue colors that you'll see in the mineral world. It's a fairly sharp and mostly complete crystal with good luster on the front face and decent gemminess throughout.
