Euchroite (old classic - Type Locality)

Item Description

Euchroite is a rare hydrated copper arsenate and this showy miniature is from the famous old copper mine Type Locality - Lubietova. Three, sharp, lustrous, translucent, rich emerald-green crystals, to 6 mm, are aesthetically clustered on the laminated, oxide-coated muscovite schist matrix. Scattered smaller crystals are a nice accent. Older material, undoubtably from pre-World War II. Highly representative of the species and locale.
