Ettringite with Hausmannite (early 2000s find)

A sharp 2.6-cm-long, doubly-terminated crystal sits atop this richly covered matrix knob, overhanging a carpet of sparkling micro-hausmannite crystals. Although not large for the pocket, this is a good matrix ettringite piece of unusual contrast, and one of our few matrix miniatures from a pocket that was found in the early 2000s and exported to the USA through Charlie Key. I bought all i could at the time and this is one of those pieces, now circled back. Such specimens, with the yellow set against the sparkling black for contrast, were rare even at the time and are simply not on today's market. Unique combination material! Valued $1200-1500
