Item Description
This piece came labeled with a small tag that said Ettringite / Sturmanite (?), and it's difficult to determine the difference between the two species by eye. A good sized, sharp, prismatic, trigonal crystal of a soft yellow hue with excellent form. The piece has a medium luster and is translucent when backlit. Complete on the front, but there is a contacted area on the back. These are much harder to find on the market than they were 10 years ago, and regardless of the species, they are the best representations of both Ettringite and Sturmanite in the world.
