Item Description
A classic example of the rare sulfate Ettringite from the N'Chwaning Mines in South Africa, where the finest examples of the species have been found. This attractive miniature hosts a single hexagonal prism of a light yellow hue measuring 2.4 cm, associated with beautifully contrasting tiny black "pagoda"-shaped crystals of Hausmannite, with a few black metallic Hematite crystals that can be seen under magnification. The Ettringite is complete all around, no damage I can find, and there's even a second Ettringite on the side for a nice accent.
