Item Description
Large, 2.2 cm Ettringite that is gemmy, glassy, and radiant. This exceptional crystal lies on a matrix of micro Ettringites and Quartz, all on Calcite. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the Ettrignite, aside from the gemminess and superb luster, is that fact that the crystal is composed of what look like horizontal segments. The short faces seem to zig and zag up the crystal as if there they were stacked twins. The appearance and effect are quite phenomenal, and you can see it clearly in some of the pics. In its own way, this is one of the more stiking Ettringites I have seen from Kalahari.
