Ettringite and Calcite included in Gypsum (rare)

Item Description

Rare combination from the famous Kalahari manganese fields. The fine, yellow Ettringite crystals look like clouds floating in a Gypsum atmosphere. In some places the clusters of thin Ettringite crystals looks like puffs of cumulus clouds, while the main Ettringite cluster rises through the Gypsum like a rising thermal column of developing thunderstorms. The Calcite that coats one side of the Gypsums glows under UV with a beautiful blue-white light. This is a rare and aesthetic miniature and a very rare combination!
