Item Description
Unusually etched microcline crystals nicely accented with lustrous, translucent, smoky quartz from recent finds in the Andes Mountains of Argentina. The strong etching makes the sharp microcline crystals look hoppered or like they were carved out! A very uncommon and showy example of the species. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 808. Dave lived and worked in Argentina in the oil industry and established good contacts there with collectors. He purchased this piece in Buenos Aires in 2002, according to his label.
